"no act is too small"
Hi there,
Three small gifts for you today.
This popped out at me the other day:
This season, no act is too small. Go forth and experiment.
(from Chani Nicholas' Sagittarius horoscope for the Taurus season we find ourselves in right now)
Then this arrived at my screen door:
Change is not a bolt of lightning that arrives with a zap. It is a bridge built brick by brick, every day, with sweat and humility and slips. It is hard work, and slow work, but it can be thrilling to watch it take shape.
(from Sarah Hepola, shared by James Clear)
Then yesterday, as I stood at the water's edge, this came to me:
I feel this new sense of small, me in comparison, no – in relationship with the water
A sense of right size, but not of right and wrong but rather
I do my part
You do yours
That’s what it means to me to be amongst the family of things as Mary Oliver says
I am willing to do my part
My part means
ask the question
state the intent
do the thing
celebrate this small, small moment
Small isn't about significance
Small is knowing where I end and another begins
Small is sensing the boundaries of the physical body, energy body, mental body, wisdom body
I can shapeshift small to big when I tap into the mycelium connecting me and you, you and them
I stand at the water's edge
for one small moment, my smallness blends with the seagull's
whose smallness already blends with the loud, short waves
the waves, the epitome of bigness, I join with them, too,
for that one small moment.
I'm here on the other side of your screen door, if you ever want to play with small to big shapeshifting.
Til next time, dear small human,
your dear small Notes app writing poet,
Cassandra
